Antler Backpack

Antler Backpackpeace pipe making question?

I want to make a peace pipe for my backpack trips and I was wondering what materials to use. I'll probably buy a pre-drilled wooden stem line, but I want to make my own bowl. As I ride I want something solid. Soapstone is strong enough for rugged use or should I use wood? Will wood odor / bad taste to burn? Thank you for your suggestions!

Soapstone is not strong. Antler gross. Pipestone has been used in Minnesota, but it may be difficult to find materials.

buy a piece of 2 foot long galvanized steel pipe and a 90 degree galvanized. A 2 foot long galvanized pipe of peace must withstand a camping trip. It would also be a nice tool last ditch effort in the case of a bear attack.

Why not go for wood Briar Merchum or, as the type sold in stores for pipe smokers, or, better still, buy a hose at low prices and rescue at the end bowl. Whall is
