Race Relations INTRODUCTION
Intimate relationships between men and women have been around for as long as the opposite sex have, and often these complicated structures will probably be around so many people live. In relationships, there may be countless different combinations depending on the age of the population involved, their hobbies, religions, family history and many other variables. According to people involved in a relationship, different factors are more important than others. With these numerous factors that may play a role in two people meet, racing the two individuals can be considered one of the most important. In addition to being visually prominent, the race of a person is usually mixed with their culture. Most often, two people in an intimate relationship will be of the same race, which does not draw attention to this factor. However, when races do decide to mix, it is not generally go unnoticed.
Even in the factor of race in relationships, there are several different combinations of options, including Asian / white, Hispanic / Black, Native American / white and many others, but one of particular interest is Black / White relations. These relationships, particularly in America, have always received plenty of interest if they were between master and slave, or today where a black / white couples is often a second look outside observers. This particular mix of the race seems to be examined more closely than others do and many theories have emerged on its various aspects. These range from the idea that whites develop relationships with blacks solely because of their supposed sexual prowess, whites and blacks in its relations with the other for the same reasons that couples do the same race. Teasing out the truth about the various aspects of these relationships is often difficult, because some researchers were able to watch them from a racist view of distorting the theories they produced. A close look at the theories and experiments on black / white relationships hopes to show that most theories of the past have been based on reasons not supported and that these relationships are formed in the same manner and for the same reasons that are same race relationships.
HISTORY
To understand why black / white relations are exclusively studied, and factors that could affect the theories presented on these relationships, a brief discussion of black / white relations in this country will be taken. Beginning with slavery, relations between blacks and whites were "sexualized" which means that not only were they still considered sex, but in reality, were generally focused on sex. Marriages between slaves had little or no importance as families were often divided, and even married a black woman's body was available to a white master if he wished. Although the body of a black woman was an object of any white teacher who wanted a white woman has also become another type of object. white women in south have been described as pure, chaste, and point of view of the white man, in need of protection against black men who desired her.
