Seriously, the links are completely useless, they are a strain on your neck when you think they look pretty sticky - people are so used to seeing them as they have been for generations, they do not even notice or no longer reflect on why we wear them. But when you think about it, it's a big sticky piece of colored fabric hanging from your neck and serves no purpose whatsoever ...?
