Different Ways To Wear Scarves

Posted on December 31, 2009.
Different Ways To Wear ScarvesIs this a hijab and a scarf essentially the same thing?

Salam:)

My friend took me to the mosque yesterday and I decided to cover with a scarf because I thought all were hijabs and scarves I have like 20 scarves. Then I saw my friend and I saw that hijab was not a scarf. She showed me how to pin my scarf and a few others at the mosque and wearing scarves.

Made me know they are two different ways, but are hijabs and headscarves mostly interchangeable (as you can cover with a veil and scarf one day the next if you want)?

They are the same

"I use my scarves as hijabs as well when I pray

=)

But I'll stop, just like shawls, so when I pray it covers most of my upper body.

Word Hijab means covering the hair and boosoms behind and held in bulk in such a way that beautfy hair and curves of her body are covered with a loosely held. to avoid the attention of men.

This is not a hijab If a girl wears a scarf, but it does not cover his boosoms or she wears a headscarf and a tight shirt to show the beauty of its boosoms with their property, covering an external clock over his loose shirt or abayah.

Hijab is the true beauty of a woman

Women are like Lollypop (this is the hijab-pls read Muslim sisters who love the cover).?

A scarf is a fashion accessory, so that the hijab is a rejection of Western values.

selam,

A hijab is both the traditional head covering worn by Muslim women and Muslim styles of modest clothing in general.

Salam Alaikum Wa

So, how was your visit? Sounds good Al hamdoullah
I would like to know more inshallah
Khiar

Wa'alaikumus Salaam.

I Think Hijab expects more modest. It depends on how you wear it really.

FIRST:
Hijab is not Koranic culture. The complete dress code is given in 24:31. neither more nor less. Some people try to cite the 33: 59 and try to say that the Hijab. There are two things they are in the process:

1 - The context of the 33: 59 read verse 33:55 to 61. It should be clear that some perpetrators have been persecuting women believers in the streets. Thus, an instruction was issued to women to ensure there is no excuse for finding the culprits. And then, approval has been given to believers to take them, and even kill them if they do not deprive them of their actions, even with the additional action.

2 - Even if 33:59 is not translated for Hijab because it is designed today.

----
Now, from a cultural perspective. There are many variations of the hijab and that u moves from country to country, u will notice the marked difference. In many countries the scarf itself is Hijab. Others go so far to cover the face and leaving only a slit for the eyes, etc. etc.
