Posted on January 27, 2010.
Disposable Latex GlovesWearing latex gloves?

I just got back from doctors and he told me I have to wear those rubber gloves that doctors wear because I have a problem with my hands, he tried to tell me, but I could not remember the he called word if I tried. my mother asked me why I was then told that I left the room. I feel that my great friends will make fun of me, but I have no other choice I have to wear them. He says I can wear any type of rubber gloves as they are tight so that nothing can get and as long as they are disposable, he even gave me a box to begin with. any way do you know what I can do, he says I get a call when I have no more, but how do I handle this.

master - First, check with your doctor to be absolutely sure of your condition and its instructions. You can be a bit confusing. Latex allergy is a reaction to certain proteins in natural rubber latex. If you have an allergy to latex, latex body mistakes for a noxious substance.
Allergy to latex can cause allergic reactions ranging from sneezing or runny nose to anaphylaxis, a potentially fatal condition. Your doctor can determine if you have an allergy to latex or if you are at risk of developing an allergy to latex. Understanding latex allergy and becoming familiar with common sources of latex can help prevent allergic reactions your own or someone else.
Choose alternative gloves. If you wear work gloves, latex gloves choose without. vinyl or nitrile gloves work in many situations, but are not as effective to protect against hepatitis or HIV transmission. Many other types of synthetic gloves work as well as latex gloves to stop the transmission of diseases, but they can be more costly. If you have contact dermatitis, you may be able to wear latex gloves made without chemicals.
Carry non-latex gloves. You have to provide emergency medical or dental.

Wear mittens or gloves for winter!
