French manufacturer Renault vehicles joined hands with Indian manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M & M) in 2005 to launch a midsize sedan in India - in the name of Logan. The launch of this car was part of Renault's strategy to establish its name in the highly competitive automotive sector in India. Renault Logan is based on design space optimization widely accepted. The car offers plenty of room inside and is a true visual feast for the eyes, with its look amazing on the outside. For Mahindra Renault Logan is really unique in its category.

The variants of Mahindra Renault Logan is powered by three different engines - 1.4L petrol engine, 1.6L and 1.5L petrol engine diesel engine. 1.4-liter and 1.6 liter gasoline engines generate power of 75 hp and 84.5 hp respectively, @ 5500 rpm. The 1.4-liter engine produces 110 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm and the 1.6-liter engine delivers 128 Nm of torque at the same speed. On the other hand, the 1.5-liter common rail diesel engine churns on a power of 65 hp @ 4000 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.

The car sold on three continents, namely Europe, Africa and Asia and in 42 countries (the car is not available in the U.S.). Despite the low cost of a‚¬ 5000 (RS3, 00000) the kind of quality is not a good car from other manufacturers. GM and Toyota are drawing methods to produce low-cost vehicles that could challenge the Logan.

The exterior of Mahindra Renault Logan impressive calm. prominent wheel arches, Bodylines smooth, jewel-like headlights and tail lamps connected cluster accent the exterior of the sedan. The grille is decorated with the insignia of Renault. Although the car seems to be huge, it is very light. The midsize sedan offers a comfortable ride for five people.

The Mahindra Renault Logan cabin is thoughtfully designed with beige being the highlight feature of the interior. The instrument cluster is very simple, but elegant look. Steering wheel beige gels completely with the other elements of the interior. Logan comes with a huge boot space, which allows passengers to carry luggage of all sizes.

The price per liter 1.4 and 1.6 liter gasoline versions Logan will start from Rs 428,000 (ex-Bombay), while the 1.5 liter diesel versions will be available in the range of Rs 644,000 and Rs 547.000 (formerly Bombay). The ex-Delhi price of Logan will start at Rs 435.000 to Rs 576.000 for the two petrol variants and Rs and Rs 554.000 651.000 for the two diesel variants. Logan is a very reasonable price and is sure to hurt other manufacturers. Currently other manufacturers denied announcing awards, but what awaits in the near future.

GL is the base variant, while GLS / DLS is the premium version. Features such as rear defroster, Power windows, illuminated glove box, trunk light and rear head restraints are only in the Premium version. Logan vaunted air conditioning will be a tough battle with the Indian summer. Features LCD instrument cluster, which is manifested in all cars, a computer calculates the average fuel consumption, average speed and distance to empty is only for drivers of premium.

Ten variants of Mahindra Renault Logan Edge 1.4 GL, 1.4 GLE, 1.4 GLX, 1.6 GLS, GLS 1.6 ABS, 1.6 GLX, 1.5 DLE, DLS 1.5, 1, 5 and 1.5 DLS DLX ABS. The sedan was launched with a price tag ranging from Rs to Rs 435.000 576.000 (approx). It is available in several colors, including the Sahara Beige, Red Toreador, Fiery Black, Silver Mist, Diamond White and Green Turf.
