Hot Belts

Hot BeltsAstra 1.8 automatic engine making noise when sxi hot oil does not?

Just bought a 2003 Holden Astra 1.8 sxi car for my fiance, the car has 90,000 K and just had a full service including timing belt changed. Starting the 1st car thing in the morning, it sounds good but when it's full operating temperature, it makes a sound like the valve clearances are false. Is this the wrong oil in the car??

Do not think you have oil, you may have a problem with valves, joints may be buggered ........

Some things to check, Bad (low) Valve Springs, Bad Oil Filter (excess flow of oil when Temp.) Flushing the engine and go to a Hi-Mileage 5W-30 or 10W-30.
