Lice Bites

Posted on December 27, 2009.
Lice BitesCockatiel problem? PLEASE HELP!?

I recently bought a cockatiel 9 weeks old. He was brought to hand and had spent his entire life in a small box.
However, about one month later, he loves people and loves every member of my family, my other brother and sister, because I do not let them handle it.
Nevertheless, even before I bought it, I made a rule, no one is aloud to manage the cockatiel (Mojo), except for me for weeks, hoping that it had links with me more than anyone.
However, in its first week, Mojo had everyone wrapped around her little finger and I could not keep it in a cage all day while I was at school and eating, then, from the second day, I gave Mom and Dad to carry around and play with him.

Big Mistake

Now, he loves me not, he always tries to bite me, and whenever he is on my shoulder, he always tries to climb on mom or dad!
It almost makes me cry when he ignores me, I now look where I just put my finger in front of him and he would not. Now, I'm pretty fed, water him, clean up after him and contain him about two hours per week, max. I am absolutely fed up.
It is intended to be MY birds, and I know it sounds kind of mean, but it is for ME to love someone else. This is not fair! What should I do?
I feel almost cheated on the $ 80 I spent on it, and almost want to sell him. It is not affectionate at all. Mom says I can tell Mom and Dad do not take it anymore, then I'd be the only one to care for him, but I can not stand the idea of him being stuck in a cage all day.
What do I do ???!!!
I think to make him a Buddie for when I'm at school, but he can then link with the bird, as it is to stick with Mom and Dad.
In addition, the lady we bought off is moms idol, and she said:
a) If we buy another bird, it will be hostile
b) It does not have mites or lice, it is grooming himself because he is young.

That's another problem I have with it. It is always grooming himself, it is not pulling his feathers, but we are still left tiny feathers or dandruff on our shoulders. I think he might be grumpy because he is itchy all the time, and I started bites all over my body that are not defiantly mosquito bites, but my mother used Delice let him or buy him a friend because she thinks that this lady is so great!
In addition, he is constantly biting the keys on my laptop, so far 2 are missing (F2 and F3), and my parents are angry. Is there a way to stop this? He also bit my dads expensive gold chain necklace, the other day and it broke and they almost made me pay for repair, and face out moms favorite shows twice, the second time he fell and broke and he defeated earrings mom and she almost lost her cross $ 75!
PLEASE HELP ME!

I have a cockatiel as well. The bird should come to you as if you try, remember, patience is important.

honestly maybe this bird is not the best for you.
your mom and dad could be considered a partner in the bird That happens when it has no current girlfriend.

The thing happens grooming. he could grow out of it, but as annoying as it is his will happen.

since any break there, blocks, he can chew? Does he get enough exercise? theres many different factors that could help with this.

I had two cockatiels before, a man and a woman now.

The male was friendly to everyone, but it took some time. The female, however, is that friendship to me. From the beginning, she hated my sister and my father. She attacks anyone who goes near her or flies a few steps in anger. But last year, I sat home for six months and have left at my house with just.
