Ogo WaterPosted on January 21, 2010. Anioma People, Cities and Towns The name "Anioma is a currency made by Chie Denis Osadebe when the movement of the updating of the creation of the state was born. It is actually an acronym formed from the names of geo-political knowledge then existing: Aniocha, Ndokwa, Ika and Oshimili all who are culturally, linguistically and historically and have been linked since time immemorial. Location The group Anioma are located in the western basin of the River Niger in this South-South, Delta State, Nigeria. Anioma works beautifully Ubulubu of the EBU. Anioma is often called Delta North in Delta State. Anioma is bounded on the east by Anambra State, south-east by AMT and Rivers States, south by Bayelsa State, south-west by ethnic group lsoko on the west by Urhobo ethnic group in north-west by the Edo State and the north by Kogi State. Origin / History Much Anioma communities are rooted in the Igbo as their homes of origin, thus the reason why the common reference to these people that Delta Igbo. This can also refer to the dialect of the population. Even if it can be argued that people have Anioma diverse history, natural course of events have contributed to some U.S. and significantly to homogenize the culture and language of these people. Although the origin of these group of people can be attributed largely to the Igbo as part of Ibusa Nshi (NRI) and Ogwashi-Uku NRI, there still are some whose history goes back to where Bini Ezechima have migrated from areas like Onitsha founders (now in the South-East), Issele-Uku, Onich-Ugbo and the like. Dialects of Anioma can be properly grouped into Ukwuani (mostly spoken by Ndokwa and Ukwuani) Enu-Ani (Ibusa, Ogwashi-Uku, Asaba, parts of Igbodo, Ilah, etc. Issele-Uku), Ika (Agbor) and Aboh (spoken primarily by Aboh and communities around it), however, there is no doubt that all cities and communities Anioma understand and speak the Igbo language effectively. There are people Anioma in Edo State of Nigeria (Igbanke), Anambra State (Onitsha Ozobulu, Obosi, Oraifite) Imo State (Oguti), Rivers State (Ndoni, Ogba ) among many others. Following the British defeat of the population Anioma by them during the years of imperialist wars conducted Ekwumekwu this great evil of balkanization. This situation has been aggravated by the Federal Government of Nigeria through a series of political marginalization of the Igbo directly encouraged the division of the Igbo, the annexation of some of these towns and villages rich in oil and other states with history and culture. A perfect example is the sudden appearance of the "sentence six geo-political", which led to the division of the Eastern region once majestically led by the Igbo.
