Uv Hats

Posted on January 8, 2010.
Uv HatsHats off for the summer, which blocks the UV rays of color the most?

I do not want a sunburn while the color of the hat will be the best? white? alll black doesn't reflect the wavelengths? I'm not worried about heat, it is hotter in black and white, it is cooler, I just want to block UV rays that make u tan / burned

White. Black absorbs all.

Have you heard of sunscreen?

I think the green light??? (Maby)

Definitely white. As previously mentioned, black is the result of absorbing all the rays of the sun, white is the result of the object reflecting the rays.

A white hat will block the sun the same as that of a black hat, as long as it stops completely (not partially see through). If it's going to be hot, I would say a white hat, but because it does not heat as a black hat. The color black absorbs all colors of sunlight and that energy is then converted into infrared energy (heat). This is why something like a car with a black interior gets hotter inside when it is parked in the sun as a car with a lighter interior. But, white matter, or black just does a good job of blocking UV rays, provided that the material is thick enough.
